HOW THE WORKSHOP WORKS 

 

On the morning of the first day, after some introductory theater games, we all read through some of the stories and songs together. There’s no audition. We have enough material at different levels to give everyone something challenging and interesting to do. During the kids’ lunch break, we pick the stories we will be doing, and cast the roles. After lunch, and throughout the 2nd day, we rehearse – acting, singing and dancing. It’s as simple (and challenging) as that!

The morning of the 3rd day, we run the Stories in their proper order 2 or 3 times, and at the end of the afternoon, family and friends get to see the show!

 

 

HOW TO REGISTER

The Winter Workshop will take place on the 4^th floor of Theater Row Studios, at 412 West 42^nd Street,

in the heart of the theater district in Times Square, Manhattan.

                                                               The dates are Dec 27, 28 and 29th.

Thursday  and Friday from 10am to 3pm, and Saturday from 11:00-4:00pm

the week between Christmas and New Year’s,

On the Home Page, click on the Paypal button to make your down payment of $50. The remaining $125 can be paid anytime by  or on December 27^th, the 1^st day of the workshop.

AYT is a new program, and our Introductory Tuition is $175. 

All participants will be eligible for a 15% discount on Classes and Workshops through May 2019, 
including a Song and Monologue Audition Workshop, and Spring Workshop Productions. 

We are currently considering productions of Peter and Wendy, Aladdin, Alice in Wonderland and Shakespeare.


American Youth Theater is a new family theater dedicated to exploring and developing youth-oriented theatrical materials from all cultures,  and training young people for the theater as both professionals and theater-goers.
